Orchestra rehearsals for the 2022-2023 season will be held from September to June on Monday evenings from approximately 6:30 pm to 9:00 p.m. Rehearsals will resume as in-person rehearsals. If necessary, rehearsals will switch to online sessions as directed by Durham Region Public Health.

The first rehearsal will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022.

DYO members will be asked to self-screen and should not attend in-person rehearsals should they have any symptoms of illness. DYO members are encouraged to wear facial masks during rehearsals except if playing a wind or brass instrument. Facial masks will not be mandated unless directed by Durham Region Public Health.

Saturday morning rehearsals may be added in the future. Details will be provided.

The orchestra performs best when all musicians are in attendance. Therefore, all members are expected to faithfully attend all rehearsals, masterclasses, and concerts, unless prevented by serious reasons (eg. illness or school exams). DYO members are expected to regularly include orchestra music in their daily practice routine at home to ensure that our performances are polished.
