The DYO is pleased to offer financial assistance to offset the cost of membership for families in financial need, pending eligibility and availability. Eligibility is determined by this application and your student’s DYO audition. For returning members, prior participation and performance in the orchestra will also be considered.
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, musical ability, attitude and work ethic. Applications are due by September 4th for the 2025-26 season.
Instructions: To apply, please submit an e-mail to assistance _ at _ dyomusic.com with the subject “Application for Financial Assistance”. In the body please answer the following questions:
- Student’s full name.
- Complete the following: “I hope to receive a DYO scholarship because: ” OR “I hope my child will receive a DYO scholarship because: “
- Please attached your most recent CRA Notice of Assessment(s) outlining the gross household income. Please redact your SIN number.
- Please explain any circumstances that are creating exceptional financial need in your family.
